Maintenance
Check out our tips to prevent many common issues and extend the life of your Zanussi Refrigerator.
Energy Saving and Location
Do not install the refrigerator close to sources of heat, such as a cooker, dishwasher, or radiator. Place it in a cool, well-ventilated room, and ensure that the air openings of the cabinet are not obstructed.
Cooling Down Items
Always allow warm food to cool down to room temperature before placing it in the fridge to prevent unnecessary strain on the compressor.
Door Management
Avoid keeping the door open for long periods or opening it too frequently. Ensure there are no obstructions preventing the door from closing properly, and check that the door gasket is intact and clean.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Periodically clean the refrigeration system at the back of the appliance using a duster or vacuum cleaner. Clean the inside and accessories with warm water and bicarbonate of soda (5 ml to 0.5 litre of water).
Defrosting
While the appliance is in operation, defrosting may be needed. Leave the fridge and ice-making compartment doors open during defrosting, and dry the appliance thoroughly afterward.
